Secure Your SSH with Fail2Ban


This is small tool, but powerfull must must try just install fail2ban from repositori and create a new file in /etc/fail2ban/jail.local

[DEFAULT]
# Ban hosts for one year:
bantime = 31536000
# Override /etc/fail2ban/jail.d/00-firewalld.conf:
banaction = iptables-multiport
#sshd if u use centos, ssh if u use debian ubuntu
[sshd]
enabled = true

And make sure not root allowing remote directly in sshd_config option

PermitRootLogin no
